Anybody else notice how "real" client business hours (new jobs, email responses, etc.) seem to slowly be narrowing to Tueday-Wednesday-Thursday, with some occasional frantic activity near midnight local time on Fridays?
Seems like remote office drones are getting a bit too lazy

I anonymized my account and removed my avatar due to excessive spam and theft of personal information on here... months ago.
I cannot fathom why you would not just remember my old avatar, but actually go as far as to expand it and read book titles off a shelf, then remember it a quarter later.
Add to that how I simultaneously changed settings from real name to username... and it just gets mildly disturbing.

So the stalkery part got disappeared, either self-censored or moderated away. Cool? Creepy? Not sure
Btw, I predictably again got a steady stream of job offers around midnight Euro time this Friday. Attempts to email the PM about one of them generated an automated response that they won't be back until Monday... and then more offers from the same PM.
So yeah, active Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday, frantic catching up on midnight Friday is totally becoming a thing.

I've been thinking about your experience, and I must say it sounds horribly scary, this information theft. I mean, they even stole your name too. Are there no depths to which these people will not sink? I imagine you reported it, but how does that work? I suppose they issued you with a provisional name meanwhile, but the choice of Adieu sounds disturbingly final.

Same thing happened to me. They took my name, my face, my soul, my sense of humour, leaving me a hollow, bitter shell with nothing better to do than upset old folks on the Internet. But at the end of the day it’s just a cry for help, you know?

But no, afaik, my own identity has never been hijacked. Though some other people have reported resume theft and scammers impersonating them using info they posted on here.
I did get a steady flow of uselessly cheap and/or suspiciously scammy job offers. And the occasional request for "samples" out of India that was clearly a cut-up cheap translation job farmed out as sample translations to proz members.
