Recruitment Sep 28, 2011

In all jobs English to Portuguese it must be specified if it's Brazilian or Continental Portuguese, because they are quite different.

Congratulations to our SurPriZe exhibit hall winner of $50 Sep 28, 2011

Cécile Guarin just won $50 by visiting the exhibit hall. Who's next? Visit the Exhibitors and sponsors to participate.

Portuguese: Brazilian? European? African? Sep 28, 2011

I agree with Martha Rosemberg.

Jobs for Portuguese must say: Brazilian, European, African.

I waste lot of time checking a post that do not request Brazilian PT.

Limit on Expressing Interest Sep 28, 2011

This page indicates that Proz.com members can express interest in up to 10 companies, but I see a limit of 5 for me. Thanks, Drew.

It works Sep 28, 2011

It works now!

By the way, for various reasons I display my nick here on ProZ. However, it would be nice to have an option to display the full name for the virtual events.

Recruitment posts and site versus real name Sep 28, 2011

Jabberwok - There are multiple actions and technologies being used to execute these events. I know this will be a bit confusing - but here goes. When you register for the event, you can (and you did) enter your real name (I double checked for you). This data is specific to each event registration and is what is used/passed to exhibitors when you visit their booths. When "expressing interest" in an outsourcer, you have an opportunity to enter your name and contact details - this name/contact is what is displayed to the outsourcer as "applicants". Of course that outsourcer can still click to your profile and will see your site name.

So, yes you can enter a real name instead of your site name, and in both the exhibitor view, and outsourcer view, they will see that real name...if you have entered it.

Thanks for taking part in today's recruitment event. Hope to see you on Friday for the BIG International Translation Day event.
