I have tried looking fo ranswers on the web. I am german and live in Honduras and there is not institution here in Honduras that accredits translators so I would have to look abroad. It is very expensive to travel so I would prefer to do it online. I just do not know where to go to find translator accrediting organizations or institutions. Does anyone have any ideas abour where I could search? I will be happy to hear any suggestions. Thank you very much for your time. Take care,

Ale

ATA certification for your languages (and other links) Aug 13, 2004

Go to http://www.atanet.org and click the Certification link on the left. I'm pretty sure you have to travel to take the exams, though.

Try http://www.proz.com/translator_associations to locate an option that may be closer to you.

Good luck!

Aziz
