Description | Master in Conference Interpreting (MIC) This Master is designed for University graduates with Spanish as their mother tongue and who have a firm knowledge of at least two of the following languages: English French German Italian Nevertheless, we may also consider candidates who have combinations of languages which are of interest to the European institutions, such as the languages of the States that joined the EU in the May 2004 extension: Czech Hungarian Polish Slovenian, etc. We also look for languages which are currently in demand, in combination with Spanish, in the European Union, such as: Danish Dutch Greek Swedish Experto Universitario en Traducción e Interpretación para los Servicios Comunitarios |

Entry requirements The maximum number of students is 18. The following are the requisites for entry to the Master: University graduate or equivalent. Spanish as mother tongue. To have a broad active control of the language and, above all, to talk in public with ease, fluency and in an assured manner. To prove passive knowledge of, at least, two other languages apart from the mother tongue. To pass the aptitude test which can be sat in Madrid or in La Laguna (Tenerife). Admission The students will be chosen from those who do best in the aptitude test. This test includes the following: A brief personal interview with the candidate. General culture exam designed to test the candidate on his/her knowledge of the economic and social reality of the countries whose languages he/she speaks. Memory exercises to test understanding and capacity of synthesis in each of the working languages. Sight interpreting exercises. |
