Freelance translator and interpreter, with extensive banking, fund management and contract vocabulary from previous professional experience. I have particular experience from projects involving long-running court cases for extradition requests, appeals, and financial litigation following the collapse of very large construction and investment projects.

Legal and financial topics in the DE - EN language pair constitute 70% of my workflow, with regular work translating from French for the same subject area. I also have two long-term clients for whom I translate marketing materials (manufacturers of a herbal tea and fitness drinks and supplements).

My interpreting assignments have been in negotiations for a trade union lobbying organisation, probate mediation, and most recently at an international church conference (Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag). I am bilingual in English and German due to having grown up in Australia and Germany, until moving to London in 2005. My translation education gives me credentials for translating and interpreting from Italian and French, and I have extensive knowledge of both languages and countries.

My interests include art history, photography, cinema, European politics and sports (marathon running, cycling, skiing), all of which I have been able to pursue in Italy, France and Germany.
