Born in Brazil, I'm a lover of Philosophy and Literary Arts since I can remember. Working with languages and communication is my absolute passion, which is the reason why I've pursued a Bachelor Degree of Philosophy (not only to learn the roots of two out of the Three Arts of Discourse - rhetoric and logic - but also to gain a wholesome understanding of the world and therefore qualify the work I produce). As for my language skills, I'm a Portuguese native speaker and I've been studying English informally since the age of 6 (my aunt was an English teacher and gave me classes since I was little) and formally since the age of 10 (as a mandatory discipline to conclude secondary and high school). Regarding my higher education, as aforementioned, I've acquired my Bachelor's Degree at one of the most respected universities in the country, the Federal University of Santa Maria. During the course of my graduation, which lasted four and a half years, I've written several papers and articles as a requirement to conclude the disciplines. It gave me a vast experience both in academic research/writing and in bilingual writing since some of them had to be written both in Portuguese and English. The main focus of my academic work was Political Economy and Political Philosophy. Besides academic work, I've also written literature work in Portuguese and English for work-related matters and as my personal hobby. In fact, have won the bronze medal in a national contest when I was in elementary school, at the age of 13, and the first prize in a regional contest at the age of 21.
Due to my studies and my experience in both academic and creative writing, I guarantee not only the accuracy of texts and translations but also their originality, creativity, and grace. |
