Spanish to English Other Finance (general)
I need help in understanding the following format of money.
It is in a Receipt for medical services in Tijuana, Mexico.
$ 1,847.60 Dlls
Mil ochocientos Cuarenta y Siete Dólares 60/100 MA
What Dll and MA stand for ?
(Dlls could be for Dollars and MA could mean MN, but need to confirm and know why this deviation from the standard acronyms).

Thanks in advance.

Mexican Pesos
The currency in Mexico is the peso. Many establishments that deal with tourists, especially in coastal resort areas, quote prices in U.S. dollars. To avoid confusion, they use the abbreviations DLLS. for dollars and M.N. (moneda nacional, or national currency) or M.X.P. for Mexican Pesos.
Note from asker:
What would be MA here... doubt if it would mean Moneda Americana.

agree philgoddard : And the other thing is that Mexicans use the $ sign for pesos, so they're resolving the ambiguity.
