: UNDERFLOW está correto somente dentro do contexto de um separador, como um espessador, lavador ou ciclone, que é o produto de fundo, assim como o overflow - transbordo, sobrenadante. Na verdade, não necessariamente é o mais grosso e sim o mais denso.

I worked with a text containing rejeito fino, which means fine tailings in English, so grosso would be the opposite I imagine: coarse/large grained
