Discussion
Difference between citar and intimar/notificar: Citar is limited to the initial act by which the defendant is first given notice of the proceedings. In EN-GB this is called "service of proceedings" in EN-US A Summons is the means used to commence civil proceedings. The subsequent acts of intimação and notificação are also termed service in EN, e.g. service of a notice. "Intimação traz sentido de ordem. Citação implica chamamento.
