Next time you're in Brazil we'll have many beers together. If Nick is around, so much better!
Douglas Bissell (asker) Jul 9, 2015:
You too mate, help like yours is always greatly appreciated, next time I'm in Brazil I owe you a beer
Mario Freitas Jul 9, 2015:
Ok, Doug, You know the context, so you know what's better. It was just an alert. Abraço!
Douglas Bissell (asker) Jul 9, 2015:
Hi Mário, I got your idea, but the original was not exactly a 5-star job and since the base is fairly f-ing useless by itself, I went for wheel. Your suggestion will obviously be of use to others who may need to know the difference however, and I want to thank you personally for that. Um abraço, Douglas
Mario Freitas Jul 9, 2015:
Sorry folks, the "cepo" is not the wheel, but its supporting base.

agree Paula Góes : It seems to be about the roulette table layout, which is different for European Roullete. See it here: http://casinosparkle.com/images/games/american-roulette.jpg

the bowl of the roulette (support/base)

According to this document and to the definition of the word "cepo" (supporting block), this part would be the base of the roulette:

... which, according to the following diagram, would be the "bowl".
