| Yes, Suzy, I know what it means in English. I just wanted the 'rude' version of it. By the way, I once was in Lisbon, Alfama. I went to the toilet and someone had written: José da Alfama é paneleiro. I thought, well, they surely aren't saying that José da Alfama makes pots (that's what 'paneleiro' means in Brazil), it must be something like 'bicha, viado' = 'gay' or 'corno' = 'cuckold'. I went back to my seat at the bar and told the bar owner they had written in the toilet, and asked him what 'paneleiro' meant in Portugal. Do you know what he answered? 'I am José da Alfama and I am not 'paneleiro' = 'gay'. You can imagine how embarassed I was. |
