I would avoid using the word production in English as it is not needed here.
The translation rather depends on the art involved, but without further context I think this might work.
Incidentally, there is a type of art that is outside the canons of any art movement that is known as "outsider art" - specifically the work of untrained artists working very individually (an example would be Arthur Bispo do Rosario). But that is probably not the meaning here.
