I am translating an information booklet for Napoli airport (college coursework) and not sure I have fully grasped the meaning of "congressuale" in this example.
Here is the context:
Per offrire servizi di qualità, la Geasc ha effettuato significativi investimenti rivolti al potenziamento delle infrastrutturale; alla formazione professionale del personale; alla partecipazione a iniziative per la valorizzazione dell'offerta turistica e congressuale della Campania.

: Yes, I think the idea is more about making the best use of them than making them better. And I agree with Charlotte - conference is used far more often, and congress makes me think of the Soviet Union.
