I am translating a financial statement from England, and this term appears which I have never heard of.

Associated undertakings are subsidiary undertakings over which a company exerts significant influence. The translation in Spanish is "entidades asociadas". They are defined in the new Spanish Accounting regulation approved at the end of 2007.

Hi Jackie! "associated undertakings" means "additional business dealings of which the company was a part". I'm working on the Spanish which may be -negocio adicional en el que participaron la empresa/compañía- but my confidence level is not high on this one. I hope this helps.
