recurring over a longer uninterrupted time I also think it goes in the direction Olaf is taking this. Possibly, one or more "Werbespots" are repeated over a longer period of time (90 minutes poss.), uninterrupted by other programming.

Might be releated to "Dauerwerbesendung" In Germany, many TV shows must be marked as "Dauerwerbesendung."
See http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dauerwerbesendung. Maybe the licensee is expected to ensure that the products are prominently endorsed in one of these shows.

Werbespots That would make sense because these are indeed called "Werbespots" and that would not really imply "infomercial". Nevertheless, "als Dauerwerbung gesendet" would have sufficed.

Dauerwerbung wiederholen Hi Bernhard! My impression is that the Werbespots are played once a single time and later are picked up again (Wiederholung) and played dauerhaft. But again, that's only my impression.

I find that expression rather strange because "Dauerwerbung" already includes the idea of "repetition continous/repeated broadcast" if the meaning is indeed "recurring ad". Thus, the combination with "wiederholen" does not sound right. Is it possible that "Dauerwerbung" could be a "long-form ad" as in "infomercial"?

Infomercial

Longer features which are presented as informative broadcasts but which are nothing but commercials are called infomercials. I think the correct German term for this would be Dauerwerbesendung but perhaps it fits the context for the person asking the question ?
