Yo creo que en este caso si fuera redundante agregar "in the market", también lo sería "en el mercado" del texto original. Con ese criterio, el original sólo diría "posicionamiento del producto" y nada más. De manera que agregar "in the market" además de ser fiel al original, respeta el concepto tal como lo manejan infinadad de documentos y textos de mercadotecnia, y más de 300 entradas en Google, que no es poca cosa.
