What translation project are you working on right now?
I have recently translated a few popular linguistics articles from Latvian into both English and Russian. Just translated about 10k words of medical texts about the SARS-CoV-2 virus, Latvian->Russian. I am providing linguistic expertise for the development of the Latvian morphological system for the online-dictionary Multitran, which without a doubt is familiar to many Russian translators. I translated 6500 words of technical documentation in the field of glass fibre production (LV>EN). Some more Latvian transcriptions on their way.

I am working on some transcriptions of Latvian audio, which are needed for the development of speech recognition software.
(edited) This week I interpreted at an international scientific conference on the current issues of political anthropology. I have recently finished working on a Russian localisation of a video game. It was about 21,000 words and the subject matter of the in-game text was connected to entomology and general biology. |
