Assalaamu 'alaikum

I am using SDL Trados 2007 (Suite-upgraded).

'Create Project Package' is inactive for some reason. I don't know why.

Could you help me find out the reason and try to fix it?

You are most probably using the freelance version Nov 16, 2009

and in the freelance version both Synergy and Studio CAN NOT create project PACKAGES.
You acn still create projects for your own purposes, but are not able to create project packages. Only the professional version can do this.

You are right. I think I got confused because the button was not dim and that was when I used the demo version.

Cannot return packages in Studio Freelance? Nov 3, 2010

Does that mean when we get a package from an agency, we cannot send the package back, only individual files? If so, this is an irritating limitation.

I know this is a rather late response but I think you should still be able to send Return Packages. Otherwise the package system would be a bit pointless.
As the project packages are something of a project management tool, it makes sense that SDL should exclude their creation from lower level versions of the software.
