Hi all,

There have been warnings of similar scams on other forums before, but I thought I'd post this warning here, as it seems to be specifically targeting Arab translators this time.
I got this email today from an Emirati "prince":

"I am an english speaking prince from United Arab Emirate,Dubai.I will be coming over on holidays to Exeter,United Kingdom,England sometime from 22nd/25th February 2005 for a 10 days vacation with my German wife,my Daughter and my 10

Same scam hit some firms here in California the last two weeks Feb 2, 2005

Greetings... ahalan wa sahalan...

That same scam hit several language services firms here in California during the last two weeks.

I speculate that none of those companies got duped and gulled after they asked that initially-vague requestor for additional details beyond the inclusive dates of 4-14 February.

Khair, in sha' Allah.
