Hi, everyone! What's the standard rate per page for webcomic translation? I am a beginner translator and I only know to charge per word, so I'm in a bit of a pickle here. If anyone has advice, I'd appreciate it! Thanks in advance. | | | Thayenga Germany Local time: 03:05 Member (2009) English to German + ... Words per page | Mar 19, 2022 |
Hi Yein, the standard page has about 500 words (single space, 250 double space). Nobody double spaces. Real-word pages are 250-350 words in European languages. In any case, though, that is highly irrelevant for comics. You'd have to be a masochist to translate comics at per-word rates, unless said per-word rates are many, many times higher than what you might charge for business correspondence or other generic topics.
