  • Segmentation, Translation Memory, additional functions
  • Downloading and installing Wordfast Pro
  • Troubleshooting
  • Creating a translation memory
  • Creating a glossary


In-person training (6 hours):
  • Creating projects and setting up preferences with Wordfast Pro
  • TM and Terminology management
  • Analyzing files using Wordfast Pro
  • Translating different file types
  • Working with placeables
  • Cleaning up and updating TMs
  • Using the PM Plug-in perspective
  • Performing Quality Control
  • Integrating Machine Translation
  • Tips and Tricks
  • Questions and evaluations


Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, you will be able to use Wordfast Pro to:
  • Create a translation project
  • Create a translation memory and glossaries
  • Import TMs and glossaries
  • Analyze a file
  • Translate, edit, and proofread DOC, HTML, XLS, and PPT files
  • Customize your keyboard shortcuts


Prerequisites - IT Requirements

Working knowledge of MS Word and fluent in English.

Unless specified otherwise, trainees must bring their own laptop for the training with an installed version of Wordfast Pro (demo or full version). If you are having problems installing the software please contact trainer before the training day.

$169 (before Sep. 30), $189 (before Oct. 11), $209 (last minute)

Note: Trainees who have paid for and received a training session of at least one full day are eligible to a discount (over 25%) on a Wordfast license they buy for themselves. This represents savings of up to $170 - the cost of the training!
