Dear All, I am just wondering if anyone could tell me whether there is much difference in these processors "AMD Athlon II P320 Dual-Core" and "Intel Core i3-330M". I am purchasing a new laptop and would like it to run smoothly with Trados 2007, do you know whether they are both equally good? Thanks in advance for your help. Daniela

Though i can't say much about the technical details, the Intel one u mentioned looks more advanced than the AMD one. i got this from a simple google search and u can check it out 4 urself.

The Intel and AMD websites can also give u some info on them.
And though i'm not that familiar with Trados' technical requirements, i think both laptops will work fine with it. Just in case u may do something other additional (perhaps demanding or so) tasks, the Intel one may cover u, but its your decision. You may consider cost and other factors.

Core i3

My opinion is that you will get very close performance with both processors; however, I would choose the Core i3 one because I'm very pleased with my new Core i5 and I had tested Core i3 on a few machines before making a purchase. The processor seems to be performing quite sufficiently for us translators.
