Herman Rohaert en Herman Fabre doen een poging om het gedicht 'Ontmoeting' te vertalen of te laten vertalen in een groot aantal officiële Europese talen, minderheidstalen en Vlaamse en Nederlandse dialecten. De aanleiding is het Verdrag van Lissabon, dat het functioneren van de steeds groter geworden Europese Unie regelt. De initiatiefnemers hebben al behoorlijk wat versies van het gedicht verzameld, maar zijn toch nog op zoek naar nieuwe vertalingen.
