Translation - English Access Card to be used for rice distribution
There are still no guidelines from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and National Food Authority (NFA) on pulling out rice from the market and bringing it to the poor communities.
The local officials of DSWD and NFA said that they are still waiting for the guidelines from their respective Central Offices.
It was known that the Department of Agriculture (DA) ordered to pull-out the affordable rice from the market within 2-3 weeks.
They plan to distribute Family Access Card in poor communities to facilitate the rice distribution system and avoid hoarding.
The Malacañang is doing its best to ensure that this affordable rice will reach the poor communities where it is most needed.
Teodolo Romo, Regional Director of DSWD 7 stated that they will distribute the family access cards but they are still waiting for the guidelines from their head office.
On his part, Edgar Diaz of NFA said that they have not yet received guidelines from their head office regarding pull-out of rice from the market.
