I very much enjoy both proofreading and translation along with the challenges they present. In order to provide an excellent text worthy of the writer and tailored to the target audience, I always take the greatest care in my assignments, to ensure they are completed to the highest standard within the deadline.

Most of my proofreading and translating experience is of academic articles, promotional material and websites concerned with travel and tourism, wine and food, herbs and foraging, the arts and education, natural sciences (botany, geography and climatology in particular) and railways.

Major travel and tourism projects include the proofreading of a leading tourism site in Hungary, GPS city guides to Vienna, Prague and Krakow, work connected to the Hungarian tourist card and a walking guide for St Elizabeth's Way between Hungary and Slovakia.

I have also translated and proofread a number of scientific articles, mainly botanical, for a Hungarian university professor. I have been involved in providing letters, sponsorship brochures and advertising in English for puppetry and wine festivals.

My regular work comes mainly from local wineries, hotels and restaurants, a tourism service provider, a graphic designer and a music historian. I have proofread and translated books about Elisabeth of Hungary, puppetry, and music history, as well as two science books, collections of natural science and environmental academic papers. I have also proofread the transcription of the fantastic Benigni film Life is Beautiful and am currently lucky enough to have translated a novel about yoga and a mushroom recipe book.
