I am a freelance translator who graduated in 1999 from Laval University (Quebec city, Canada). Translation was my major and I also obtained a certificate in teaching a second language from that university. After my graduation in 1999, I went to China to work as an English teacher and experience chinese culture. I was really fascinated by Mandarin, a language I began to learn during my studies in translation.
I studied in teaching because applied linguistics is one of passions. I enjoy helping people learn a second/foreign language and adapt to a new environment. Moreover, the teaching experience I had in China enabled my to grow in maturity and nurture my interpersonal skills, as I had to collaborate with many students and teachers from different backgrounds. I spent six years in Northern China, where I worked as an English and French instrutor in universities. Besides translating from English in French, I am now able to translate documents from Mandarin into French.
As a translator, I pay close attention to the quality of my texts and offer my clients a service that they find satisfactory. |
