To effectively integrate common goals for air quality in the South Coast Air Basin, the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Lonf Beach (POLB) have worked together in close coordination with the staff of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), the California Air Resources Board (CARB), and the United States Environmental Protection Agency Region 9 (EPA Region 9) to develop the San Pedro Bar Ports Clean Air Action Plan.
This plan is the first of its kind in the country, linking the emissions reduction efforts and visions of the two largest ports in the United States with similar efforts and goals of the regulatory agencies in charge of ensuring compliance with air quality standards. The collaborative efforts will continue in the years to come with the review and update of the Clean Air Action Plan on an annual basis.

남부 대기 분지의 대기질을 위한 공동 목표를 효과적으로 통합하기위해 로스앤젤레스 항만 (POLA)과 롱 비치 항만 (POLB)은 남부연안 대기질 관리 구역(SCAQMD), 캘리포니아 대기 자원국 (CARB)과 미국 환경 보호청 9지구 (EPA Region 9)의 관계자들과 협력하여 산 페드로 베이 항 맑은 공기 행동 계획을 작성했다. 본 계획은 방출 감소 노력과 미국의 양대 항만의 비전을 대기질 기준 준수가 이루어 지도록 노력하는 규제기관의 유사한 노력, 목적과 함께 연계하는 계획 으로서 미국에서 최초의 것이다. 이러한 협력은 연례적인 맑은 공기 행동 계획의 검토와 갱신과 함께 향후 수년간 계속될 것이다.
