Optimal Flexible Architecture (OFA) ensures reliable installations and improves software manageability. This feature streamlines the way in which Oracle software installations are organized, thereby simplifying the on-going management of your installations and improves manageability by making default Oracle Database installs more compliant with OFA specifications.
During installation, you are prompted to specify an Oracle base (ORACLE_BASE) location, which is owned by the user performing the installation. You can choose an existing ORACLE_BASE, or choose another directory location that does not have the structure for an ORACLE_BASE directory.
Using the Oracle base directory path helps to facilitate the organization of Oracle installations, and helps to ensure that installations of multiple databases maintain an OFA configuration. During the installation, ORACLE_BASE is the only required input, as the ORACLE_HOME will be defaulted based on the value chosen for the ORACLE_BASE. In addition, Oracle recommends that you set the ORACLE_BASE environment variable in addition to ORACLE_HOME, when starting databases. Note that ORACLE_BASE may become a required environment variable for database startup in a future release.

Datafile Access in Oracle Real Application Clusters
All Oracle RAC instances must be able to access all datafiles. If a datafile needs to be recovered when the database is opened, then the first Oracle RAC instance to start is the instance that performs the recovery and verifies access to the file. As other instances start, they also verify their access to the datafiles. Similarly, when you add a tablespace or datafile or bring a tablespace or datafile online, all instances verify access
to the file or files.
If you add a datafile to a disk that other instances cannot access, then verification fails. Verification also fails if instances access different copies of the same datafile. If verification fails for any instance, then diagnose and fix the problem. Then run the ALTER SYSTEM CHECK DATAFILES statement on each instance to verify datafile access

Все экземпляры Oracle RAC должны иметь доступ ко всем файлам данных. Если при открытии базы данных требуется восстановление файла данных, в этом случае первым будет запущен тот экземпляр Oracle RAC, который производит восстановление и проверяет доступ к файлу. При запуске других экземпляров, они также будут проверять доступ к файлам данных. Аналогично, при добавлении табличного пространства или файла данных, или же при переводе их в оперативное состояние, все экземпляры проверяют доступ к файлу или файлам.
При добавлении файла данных на диск, к которому другие экземпляры доступа не имеют, проверка будет неудачной. Проверка также даст отрицательный результат, если экземпляры будут иметь доступ к разным копиям одного и того же файла данных. Если для какого-либо экземпляра проверка не проходит, следует провести диагностику и устранить проблему. The inherently safe input of the Nivotester FTL 325 N limit switch is galvanically separated from the network and from the output.
The Nivotester provides the Liquiphant M and Liquiphant S (high temperature) sensing elements with an FEL 56 and 58 electronic application or a sensor specified according to EN 50227 (DIN 19234; NAMUR) or IEC 60947-5-6 over a two-wire line with direct current. A control current is simultaneously transmitted on this supply line.
The control current range is between < 1.2 mA and > 2.1 mA depending on the switching state.
Signal evaluation
The Nivotester measures the control current that is transmitted over the supply line of the sensors, and evaluates them. The relay for the fill level alarm signals whether the sensor is covered or is free and a light-emitting diode indicates the switching state of the relay on the front plate of the Nivotester. Disturbances such as a line interruption or short-circuit are likewise indicated.
Safety switching
Correct selection of the safety switching makes it possible for the relays to always work in quiescent current safety. On the Nivotester, the fault current signal (< 1.2 mA or > 2.1 mA) of the connected sensor of each channel can be set with the DIL switches. As a result, the switching amplifier can be used in the required safety operation in any application.
Quiescent current safety in combination with a fill level limit switch is defined as follows:
• Maximum safety: The relay releases, when the switching point is exceeded (sensor covered), a malfunction appears or the network voltage is lost.
• Minimum safety: The relay releases, when the switching point is exceeded (sensor free), a malfunction appears or the network voltage is lost.

Source text - English DEAD-WEIGHT-HYDRAULICS PRESSURE SOURCE
The Dead-Weight-Hydraulic Filter Press is a Series 300 Filter Press equipped with a Dead-Weight Hydraulic Assembly. Refer to Fig. 3. The Dead Weight Hydraulic Assembly is shown in Fig. 4. Follow this procedure to pressurize the filter press with the deadweight-hydraulic pressure source:
1. Fill the water reservoir and cylinder of the dead-weight assembly to the top with clean fresh water.
2. Open the bleed-off valve and place the piston, with the weight attached, in the cylinder. Allow the piston to travel full stroke.
3. Refill the reservoir with clean, fresh water and close the bleed-off valve.
4. Set the unit in place on the filter press frame and tighten the attaching set screws, if not previously attached.
5. Connect the air hose from the dead-weight assembly to the top cap pressure inlet, if not previously attached.
6. Raise the weight to the top of its stroke and allow it to settle. In about two-thirds of the stroke, the delivery pressure gauge will indicate 100 psi.
7. Lift the dead weight back to the top of the stroke. Start the timing of the test when the weight is released. One stroke of the piston will allow a maximum filtration loss of approximately 30 ml.

Грузопоршневой гидравлический фильтр-пресс представляет собой фильтр-пресс серии 300, оборудованный гидравлическим грузопоршневым блоком. См. Рис.3. Гидравлический грузопоршневой блок показан на Рис.4. Для подачи давления на фильтр-пресс с грузопоршевым источником давления необходимо выполнить описанные ниже операции.
1. Наполнить водный резервуар и цилиндр грузопоршневого блока чистой водой до верхнего уровня.
2. Открыть сливной клапан и установить поршень с закрепленным на нем грузом в цилиндр. Дать поршню переместиться на полный ход.
3. Снова наполнить резервуар чистой свежей водой, и закрыть сливной клапан.
4. Если блок не был установлен ранее, установить его на раму фильтр-пресса и затянуть крепежные винты.
5. Если воздушный шланг не подключен, его следует подключить к грузопоршневому блоку и впуску на верхней крышке.
6. Поднять груз в верхнюю точку и подождать, пока он примет устойчивое положение. Когда груз пройдет примерно две третьих своего хода, манометр на стороне нагнетания покажет давление 100 фунтов на кв.дюйм.
7. Поднять груз в верхнее положение. Так только груз будет отпущен начать отсчет времени испытания. Один ход поршня допускает максимальные фильтрационные потери приблизительно до 30 мл.
