Being known as an academic achiever in the family with an aunt who was married to an English national and many of my family members were afraid to speak the English language, I started my job as a translator at a young age of 6. During those times, I rendered it without professional fee. I so love the feeling of becoming a courier of understanding. Likewise my translation skill also helped my grandfather express and communicate what he wanted to say during national and international interviews from the TV and print media, as he is a faith healer. To date, he is the most searched faith healer persona as he is the oldest in our place, and I still do my translation job up till today. Growing up I also enjoy writing, specially making essays, poems and feature articles of all sorts and topics. This led me to a decade of experience being an editor at Siquijor Today, the pioneer and the only existing print media in our province. |
