I have more than 20 years of experience in the translation field, translating from English to Arabic and vice versa in the following areas of specialty: marketing, financial, legal, and economic; naturally, I translate all materials of a general nature.

Within the marketing domain, I have worked with various clients on producing their promotional materials and market studies, including written and oral translation and interpretation, and transcription. I have worked extensively on translating tourism, entertainment and hotel-related materials.

In the legal domain, I have translated laws, regulations, decrees, court verdicts, powers of attorney, articles of association, litigation documents and many more from Arabic to English and vice versa.

In the economic and financial areas, I have a strong background acquired through working at the Saudi Ministry of Finance and translating materials commissioned through outsourcers by the OECD, the UNDP, the Arab League, and other international organizations.

Being a native Arabic speaker, I also work in proofreading and editing of translations from English to Arabic.

My experience in journalism has helped me to improve my style. I have worked as a freelance translator for the BBC for three years, translating news and other materials from Arabic into English, and in the same capacity with a Saudi newspaper published in English in the same language combination. This experience proved highly beneficial in translating and drafting press releases and similar press materials.

Having lived in Saudi Arabia for more than 20 years, I am highly familiar with the Saudi market and the GCC one at large, particularly the UAE, in terms of product marketing and research, entertainment, tourism, and in the legal domain.

I also have extensive experience in the interpretation field and continue to cooperate with clients in Saudi Arabia and overseas for interpretation assignments in the aforementioned domains.
