Korean to English: What is the Groove?
General field: Art/Literary
Detailed field: Music
Source text - Korean
Groove is an emotional connection that we feel when a song or instrument makes wanna move. Nod our head or feet or whatever body part. It's a certain power that grabs us and makes us particular way. But where does it come from?
We as human beings developed through evolution a clear sense of what's important to us and what's not. One thing crucial to our survival was to judge quickly emotional states of fellow creatures. Does he look happy? Relaxed in the mood or likely to attack? Or just to judge which kind of living being is in front of us. Or living being at all. Does it breathe ? Does it move?
We became masters that can scan our surroundings, for hints in that direction. And respond to it emotionally. And outgrowth of that is that when we see a curtain with wrinkles through shadows, our brain sees faces in them. Or look at the clouds and we see faces or recognize other shape we wanna see.

INTRODUCE

Education: Seoul, Korea, Chung-Ang University
When I was in University, I majored Department of Adolescence which studied phycology, law, education and development about adolescence at. For every year, I have participated in several groups of volunteer activities such as Teenager’s Camping, Educational Global Conference and so on. Along with these positive experiences I developed a fascination for the motivating others and associate with unfamiliar environment.
Work Experience: Seoul, Korea, Cavare Sound
I worked as an artist of Cavare Sound for ten years. I was a member of the band named ‘Oh! Brothers’ who plays 5~60’s style music. As a member of the band, I wrote songs and lyrics, played instruments and proposed the style of the music for the next album. Also I wrote the press release and distributed to the press.
In 2005, I got the chance to have a performance in one of the biggest rock festival in the world – Fuji Rock Festival. All I can say about this experience is ‘Fantastic’. No matter of number of audience, no matter of the sound system and no matter of who we are. More than 30,000 people from all over the world were enjoying their seemingly endless party with great music. Although I was incredibly busy because of doing a lot of roles of job such as coordinator, translator, stage staff for my band and etc, it was the one of the greatest experience in my music life. After this, there were a few chances to have a performance in the other country, I did same role as in Fuji Rock 2005.
I’ve learned a lot of things from musician’s life for 10 years. First, it is important to be on stage, but offstage is more important than that. Artists should put all their energy for the stage and audience. If the given show time is 30 minutes, they should prepare the show at least for 300 minutes before the show. The artists should check all the things for a performance such as music as well, costume, light, stage setting and lots more for a successful performance. I was an artist, staff and A&R at the same time and I am pretty sure that my experience will be quiet useful for the rest of my life.

Personality
My strength is great affinity from positive mind. And this leads to good communication skills. Good at icebreaking with humor, no worry to start a conversation with stranger. I feel I try to make the people comfort when they are with me. I really enjoy communicating with people. I usually look at people’s eyes when we have a conversation and that’s great way to fully understand what they really want. This can reduce misunderstanding between people and me.
My weakness is too much of punctuality. When I got a project I have to do, I highly regard on the time table with strong responsibility. I get much stress when it doesn’t go with time table. I know every job can’t go just as the time table and I try to think it flexible and respond softly. I prefer to make a clean finish with every job I included.

Thank you for reading my little story.
Also, it would be great if you can find my CV.
Thank you.
