Hi all -
Despite assiduously checking numerous online glossaries (as well as ProZ), this one has eluded me.
It is buried in the third line below, following IDH (Erythrocyte deformability index I assume). Hb is usually hemoglobin. However I am not sure how to put it together properly.
San-HEMOGRAMA , LEUCOCITOS 10.52 x10e3/pL (4.09-10.8), HEMATIES 2.82 x10e6/ML (4.5-5.5), HEMOGLOBINA 8.3
g/dL (13.5-17.5), HEMATOCRITO 25.0 % (41.0-53.3), VCM 88.6 fL (83.0-102.0), MCH 29.4 pg (-), MCHC 33.2 g/dL (-), IDH 15.0 % (-), IDHb 3.2 % (-), PLAQUETAS 108.0 x10e3/µL (135.0-369.0), VPM 9.3 fL (-), IDP 59.3 % (-), FORMULA LEUCOCITARIA , NEUTROFILOS 80.3 % (42.5-73.3), NEUAB 8.4 x10e3/(µL (-), LINFOCITOS 11.1 % (17.4-46.7), UNA 1.2 (-), MONOCITOS 6.8 % (2.7-8.6), MONOSA 0.7 (-), EOSINOFILOS 0.2 % (0.5-6.0), EOSAO.O (-), BASOFILOS 0.1 % (0.1-1.2), BASOFILOS (ABS) 0.0 (-), LUC 1.5 % (0.1-3.5), LUCA0.1 (-), IL 2.0 Xl0e3/µL (-), MPXI 4.4x10e3/|µL (-)
Any ideas?
Thanks!

hemoglobin distribution width
So as I said above, IDHb = índice de distribución de hemoglobina" (and no, it's not in Cosnautas).
"hemoglobin distribution width" is the best I come up with so far ... this is a new one for me.

This one is rare online. Here's another sentence that contains a Spanish definition:
"... el índice de distribución de hematíes (IDH), que nos define el grado de anisocitosis, así como el índice de distribución de hemoglobina (IDHb) que nos traduce la presencia de hematíes hipo o hipercrómicos. ..."
Here's another one, which makes me think that "width" is correct, because it mentions the word "amplitud" :
" ... y la amplitud de distribución de hemoglobina (IDHb) se obtienen de este histograma."
Looks like the Portuguese know this one, too: "... amplitude de distribuição de hemoglobina (“hemoglobin distribution width”) ... " This is from: http://www.hospvetmontenegro.com/user/teses/tese_16.pdf
I think I can confidently increase my confidence level to 3.5 now.

And your acronym would be HDW.

Ah ... so check your understanding of IDH against what it says in the sentence above (the one that has both IDH and IDHb) ... this suggests that IDH = RDW. Also found online regarding this: "Índice de distribución de los hematíes (IDH) o (IDE). También se denomina anchura de la distribución eritrocitaria o ADE (en inglés,. RDW) ...

Gracias, María (pero no encuentro HbDW, solo HDW en este contexto).
