French term

produits de fond de caddy

French to English Marketing Food & Drink market positioning of a brand of Spanish foodstuffs
Hi all!

It appears on a chart alongside "produits à forte valeur d'image" and "produits à gros pouvoir de recrutement".

Not many g-hits for the term in French and I've tried various trolley-basket-cart combinations without much success. What do you think of "cart-bottom items" and what does the concept mean in the first place?

It seems to mean those basics that people always add to their shopping trolley - stand foodstuffs, nothing special or exciting

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks CMJ and everyone else. I liked Janet's "essentials" too."

regularly bought products

Products that we always place in the bottom of our trolley.

I was thinking of something along those lines.
