z plate

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Structural design / bridge construction
And yet another one...

Context is below:
"These legs are attached to the bottom z-plate with
bolts."

I cannot find this term on any of my "technical" dictionaries. Maybe I need new dictionaries...

Thanks again for any and all suggestions.

David, no, I did not notice the smiley, I appologize for the comment made. I still wold like an asnwer to my question, IF, your suggestion is any good, how does it apply to a bridge leg and the way it attaches at the bottom? I think Francesca deserves it.

Maybe you need to use Google... :-) Z-Plate seems to be a galvanizing process, which English comfortably turns into a noun...

La letra Z se refiere particularmente al espesor en las coordenadas xyz -ancho, largo y espesor de la placa. Las propiedades de deformación en el eje del espesor son determinadas con pruebas de tensión usando piezas que son maquinadas en la dirección del espesor de la placa.
