'In the office action, the examiner points out that some lines of the views are not even..': er worden bezwaren opgeworpen tegen een octrooiaanvraag voor een diamant. Verschillende 'office actions' worden daartoe ingediend: zijn dit vorderingen? zo ja, hoe wordt office hier dan vertaald? Office staat hier niet met hoofdletter, maar in de voorgaande tekst wordt wel een keer over 'Intellectual Property Office' gesproken, kan het daarnaar verwijzen? zo ja, hoe zou dit dan best worden vertaald?

het lastige is dat er in Nederland in elk geval niet meer voorafgaand getoetst wordt door het octrooicentrum, en er dus ook geen office action pur sang meer is. Maar "toetsing" is wel de term die bij octrooien hoort.
