French term

page froide

French to English Bus/Financial Printing & Publishing Newspaper production
Not sure what category this should go under, so please feel free to move it if Business/Financial isn't right!

I'm not sure what's meant by the term "page froide" in the context of producing a daily newspaper. I'm translating a presentation about adapting newspaper production to the multimedia world and this appears in a list of activities over the course of the day:

Conférence de rédaction
Prémaquettage + contrôle pages froides
Dessin journal

I'm wondering if it means fixed pages, i.e. those that they know won't change as news develops over the course of the day, but wondered if there was a special term for these?

Many thanks

It's translated as "cold page" here http://www.24hdansuneredaction.com/en/presse/11-the-flatplan...
But I can't find it used in this way in English. My sister used to be the foreign editor of a UK paper, and she doesn't think there's a specific term for it.
I'd ask the customer what it means - your assumption may or may not be correct.

prewritten page

These are ready-to-use pages for newspapers and websites. Currently, some French journalists are protesting the use of these pages, saying it's going to make their creative writing obsolete.
Example sentence:

One of the day\'s tasks is to manage the prewritten pages.
