Spanish term
son del orden del error
Spanish to English
Science
Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng
From the description of a table and plot related to the amount of copper in a semiconductor.
"a partir de una cierta cantidad de Cu las variaciones en la energía del band gap son del orden del error asociado a las medidas y cálculos desarrollados."
I have seen the term "order of error" used, but I'm not sure how it fits into this sentence.
Thanks for your help.

similar to the errors
The text would then be: .....the changes in band-gap energy are similar to the errors associated with the measurements and calculations performed.

are equated with / denote errors...
I see it as more than similar - such variations can be/are equated with certain errors

: Bill is right, it referres to the amount or order of magnitude of the error, however, Andrew's text is also fine.
