Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
Hi! This sentence appears in a Power Point presentation I'm translating. I've never seen it in Spanish before, but I guess I get the meaning anyway. I was wondering if you know an equivalent in English.
Thanks!
Maria

Al parecer soy el primero en decirlo, de modo que todavía no es un dicho consagrado, pero suena bien de todos modos.

don't punish a willing workhorse
"workhorse" is a term often applied to people who do very hard work, but none of it is spectacular or deserves special praise; these people tend to go unnoticed, and may even attract punishment, as in this phrase

Bueno, vamos a ampliar.

: However, this is the converse of the given expression.//Because one refers to how the employer should treat the employee, and the other refers to how the employee should treat the employer.

Why the 'converse', Ruth? I think both expressions refer to how the employer should treat employees. Opinions are opinions
