My interpreting experience includes: 

- Interpreting 3 1/2 day-long personal development courses: primarily simultaneous into Spanish; consecutive in different contexts. Also sight translations and translations related to the course as necessary: translating, editing and/or proofreading translation of assignments, handouts, slide decks and forms. 

- Interpreting for victims of domestic violence with the police and with judges by phone (when victims request Temporary Restraining Orders); some interpreting for the police with victims of or witnesses of other crimes.

- Interpreting for NY and NJ school districts: parent-teacher conferences, principal addressing parents at events, conversations between parents and administrators or support personnel.

- A little experience interpreting for Latin American social leaders visiting the US in meetings with legislators, speaking engagements at universities and accompanying them as necessary in stores, restaurants, etc.

- At JP Morgan, interpreting for project managers and attorneys with investors, property owners. 

My translating experience includes:

- at JP Morgan, translating correspondence including collection letters, correspondence with property owners, etc. and other documents as needed. 

- proofreading the work of other translators usually from Spanish to English, sometimes from English to Spanish.

- one assignment "rescuing" a pporly done in-house translation of a bulletin of the central bank of a Latin American bank that was to be released on their website the next morning.
