Spanish term or phrase: necesary support and whenever legally necesary
Hi, I am translating a contract, and I find this sentence:

Dar apoyo razonable, y siempre que fuese legalmente necesario, al RESPONSABLE DEL TRATAMIENTO en la realización de las evaluaciones...

The intention is that a contracted Service support will be available for free in the warranty period (say 1 year), BUT ALSO it will be free if it is required by law in the future (say, in 5 years a new Law requires the Client its records of that year for Taxes).

What would it be better phrasing?
Provide reasonable and whenever legally necessary support to the DATA CONTROLLER in carrying ...

OR
Provide reasonable suppont, and whenever legally necessary, to the DATA CONTROLLER in carrying ...

reasonable support, where legally necessary
Explanation:
Providing reasonable support, where legally necessary, to the data controller in carrying out the assessments.

Si es parte de una lista de compromisos, sugeriría además empezar con 'providing' en lugar de 'provide'
