Source text - English 1. THE INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE EUROPEAN EMPLOYMENT STRATEGY (EES)
1.1 Origins
In the 1990s, a political consensus developed around the structural nature of Europe's employment problem and on the need to increase the employment intensity of growth . Both the monetary stabilisation policy, followed to prepare for Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), and the common nature of the employment and unemployment challenges, called for a more co-ordinated employment oriented policy response at European level.
Debate began during the negotiation of the Maastricht Treaty (1992), which strengthened the social dimension of the European model through a social protocol. This in turn led to the agreement at the Amsterdam European Council (1997) on new employment provisions in the Treaty. While confirming national competence for employment policy, employment was declared in Article 126 of the Treaty establishing the European Community (TEC) a matter of common concern and Member States were called on to develop a co-ordinated employment strategy at EU level. Largely inspired by the Treaty’s provisions on economic policy co-ordination and by the co-ordination of employment policies launched at the Essen European Council of 1994, the new Article 128 TEC instituted a framework for developing national employment policies on the basis of shared European priorities and interests.
Implementation of the EES allowed for a number of approaches and called for the involvement of all actors, namely national governments, EU institutions, social partners, civil society, academics, etc. This is in accordance with the wide range of national institutional set-up and social dialogue practices. The openness of the co-ordination process led, inter alia, to calls on social partners, both at national and EU level, to develop specific actions and initiatives to develop regional and local involvement. Since the Amsterdam Treaty, the European Parliament, other Community institutions and the Employment Committee have also played an active part in the development of the Employment Guidelines.

Както политиката за валутна стабилизация, съпровождаща подготовката за Икономически и валутен съюз (ИВС), така и общата природа на предизвикателствата, свързани със трудовата заетост и безработицата, изискваха по-координиран и ориентиран към заетостта отговор на европейско ниво.
По време на обсъждането на Договора от Маастрихт (1992 г.) започна дебат, който засили социалното измерение на Европейския модел чрез социален протокол. Това, от своя страна, доведе до споразумение за включване на нови положения за заетостта в Договора на Европейския Съвет на срещата в Амстердам (1997 г.). Потвърждавайки националната компетентност относно политиката за заетост, член 126 от Договора за създаване на Европейския съюз (ДЕС) обяви заетостта за въпрос от общ интерес и страните-членки бяха призовани да създадат координирана стратегия за заетостта на ниво ЕС. 4.1 Therapeutic indications
Gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GIST)
XXX is indicated for the treatment of unresectable and/or metastatic malignant gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GIST) in adults after failure of imatinib treatment due to resistance or intolerance.
Metastatic renal cell carcinoma (MRCC)
XXX is indicated for the treatment of advanced/metastatic renal cell carcinoma (MRCC) in adults.
Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (pNET)
XXX is indicated for the treatment of unresectable or metastatic, well-differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours (pNET) with disease progression in adults.
Experience with XXX as first-line treatment is limited (see section 5.1).
4.2 Posology and method of administration
Therapy with sunitinib should be initiated by a physician experienced in the administration of anti-cancer agents.
Posology
For GIST and MRCC, the recommended dose of XXX is 50 mg taken orally once daily, for 4 consecutive weeks, followed by a 2-week rest period (Schedule 4/2) to comprise a complete cycle of 6 weeks.
For pNET, the recommended dose of XXX is 37.5 mg taken orally once daily without a scheduled rest period.
Dose adjustments
Safety and tolerability
For GIST and MRCC, dose modifications in 12.5 mg steps may be applied based on individual safety and tolerability. Daily dose should not exceed 75 mg nor be decreased below 25 mg.
For pNET, dose modification in 12.5 mg steps may be applied based on individual safety and tolerability. The maximum dose administered in the Phase 3 pNET study was 50 mg daily.
Dose interruptions may be required based on individual safety and tolerability.
